Update

Wasn't I doing well blogging everyday? This week has been super busy and a minor blip in my consistency progress. I have my first day of university on Monday (thats tomorrow ahhhh!) meaning that the past week has been packed full of freshers related events. I'm super excited and super scared at the same time but happy to be finally starting after a long summer. I've had a crazy 4 months off and where has it gone? I have no idea. I started off working loads for the first 2/3 months adding up tp over 300 extra hours. I took the last month to enjoy all the money with plenty of London days out and shopping! I brought a fancy new camera for my blog, youtube and photography for university, as well as filling up my makeup draw and wardrobe with treats. Hopefully after my first week or two I'll be settled into the routine and be back to everyday blogging and weekly/twice weekly youtube videos. Lots of luck to all of you starting university!

The Setup

I thought it may be a nice idea to show you guys the behind the scenes of the blog. I'm still getting used to my new camera and lighting, resulting in my images not being perfect but I'm really enjoying learning! If you've noticed I've been blogging everyday!? Its a shock to me as well. I've always wanted to get into blogging but never dedicated myself and made broken promises of consistency on my youtube channel. With my new camera I've had a sudden burst of excitement for my channel and blog, wanting to put a bit more time in. I've been filming, photographing and typing blog posts in advance (so far so good). With the balance of short and snappy blog posts I hope it will be possible to maintain when I start uni. Wish me luck.

Bourjois Shine Edition

Bourjois - Shine Edition lipstick - (left to right) 22 Famous fuchsia & 23 Grenade in - £7.99

When I was younger I used to shy away from bright lips but theres nothing I love more now! I picked these lipsticks up on a whim, not really knowing what the community had to say about them. Upon first swatch I found them to be comparable to Revlon Lip butters (my all time favourite lipstick formula). They have a lovely shade range on offer although I settled on arguably two very similar shades, a hot fuchsia pink on the left and a more berry toned pink ready for Autumn on the right. Although I do still prefer Revlon's efforts these are two gorgeous lipsticks with great pigmentation and a moisturising glossy feel.

I Changed My Mind.

Maybelline - EyeStudio color tattoo 24hr cream gel eyeshadow - On and on bronze - £4.99

With such rave reviews I picked this up pretty much straight after the launch. Since then I've struggled to make it work for me. Usually in this situation, it would of been passed on to a willing friend but something told me to keep it. Recently I had a massive clear out and promised myself that I would use those products that have been lingering at the back of my makeup drawers unloved. One morning I decided I was going to try something different and went with the flow. I created a simple smokey eye purely with this shade and my fingers. I applied the product to the outer corner of my lid and blended outwards into the crease. It was easy to blend out and offered a simple daytime eye look. I must admit that I have completely changed my mind on this product and now feel its a staple! The formula is beautifully creamy however be warned as I have noticed inconsistencies with other shades (Eternal gold, I'm looking at you).

I'd love to know if you've had any dramatic turnarounds with a product?
